Master Barber - Co-Owner

Roderick "Rod" Sampson opened his first barbershop at the age of seventeen in Brooklyn N.Y. after graduating from Atlas barber college. Rod has more than twenty years of experience cutting and styling hair "from the hood to Hollywood" and continues servicing his clients, giving razor perfection to hair cuts.  Rod is co-owner of VIP Barber & Beatuy, LLC.

Jason Chavez was born in New Jersey and raised in northern Virginia.  While in High School (Hayfield), Jason started to cut hair realizing he had a gift. After graduating H.S. Jason temporarily moved to New York City to pursue his dream at the American Barber Institute of NY; afterward, moving back to NOVA and building an enormous clientele.  Jason is now co-owner of VIP Barber & Beauty, LLC.  Jason likes sports, video games and all kinds of music.

Matthew Abney, a new york native, graduated from Atlas Barber school New York, N.Y. over 20 years ago. Shortly put, there's nothing that he can't do. Matthew loves to converse about business and is a NY giants fan to the core. He hopes to see you at VIP.

Jose Malca was born and raised in northern New Jersey. He went to high school at Elizabeth High. After graduating, he enlisted in the US Navy for 6 years. While enlisted he perfected his skills on the ships and on base becoming a personal barber to his colleagues and friends. After the Navy, he studied at the American Barber Institute of NYC alongside his cousin and co-owner Jason Chavez.

Corey Goodin started cutting hair his senior year in high school. After one year there, he went to Spectrum Beauty Academy for an additional eight months.  Following graduation, Corey obtained his barbering license and got a job at The Barbershop and Co., working there for nearly two years.  Corey likes all sports, but football and basketball are his favorites, "It's just too bad that my teams, the Wizards and Redskins suck," Corey says.
